The Global Road Safety Facility (GRSF) is a global multi-donor fund hosted by the World Bank. Its mission is to help governments develop road safety management capacity and scale up road safety delivery in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The GRSF provides funding, knowledge, and technical assistance designed to scale up the efforts of the LMICs to build their scientific, technological, managerial, and delivery capacities for road safety.
Highlights
Knowledge. At the Regional Road Safety Seminar held in December 2023, ADB highlighted its commitment to road safety to over 200 road safety and transport policymakers and practitioners from partner organizations, developing member countries (DMCs), and nongovernment organizations. The development partners renewed their commitments to support the DMCs in implementing evidence-based responses to road crash deaths and injuries. The GRSF is one of the contributors and speakers in the seminar.

New Road Safety Observatory for the Asia and Pacific Region: Fighting Road Fatalities and Injuries with Better Data
The Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO) boosts the capacity of countries in the region to collect, analyze, and share reliable road crash data to significantly reduce the number of road deaths and crash injuries in the region. The APRSO receives financial support from the UK Aid through the Global Road Safety Facility. Technical support also comes from the World Health Organization and UNESCAP.
